3rd Learning, Teaching and Training (3rd LTT) Activity of the WELFARUMINANT Project 04-08 September 2023 Activities in Milan

Project coordinator is Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University faculty member Prof. Dr. T.C. by Özkan Elmaz. Accepted within the scope of the 2021 Erasmus + Cooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education (KA220-VET) Projects Activity of the Turkish National Agency affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; With the presentation of project partners from TURKEY, ITALY and PORTUGAL, within the scope of the WELFARUMINANT study activity numbered 2021-1-TR01-KA220-VET-000025255 "Dissemination of Animal Welfare Practices in Farming Ruminants" - "Dissemination of Animal Welfare Practices in Cattle and Ovine Farms", Italy's Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Burdur Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, participated in the 3rd Learning, Teaching and Training (3rd LTT) event titled "Good Practices and Welfare Assessment in Small Cattle Farms in the European Union" held between 4 - 8 September 2023 at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Milan. Project partners from Burdur Chamber of Veterinarians and Portugal Lisbon University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine participated. To the participants; In the 5-day training, where the "Animal Welfare Protocols" implemented in the sheep and goat countries of the European Union countries were explained, both theoretical information and practical training were given with farm tours. As the project output, the "Welfare Assessment Handbook for Sheep-Goats" given within the scope of this training will be prepared and published on the website "https://www.welfaruminant.org/".
